ToreSays has been hyping a new defamation suit recently - one that names both Ali Alexander and Dominion as co-defendants.

The case files had been difficult to access because it was filed in TN state court...

...until yesterday.

In addition to Alexander and Dominion, she also named Congressman Steve Cohen as a co-defendant. He requested that the case be relocated to federal court, and the court obliged, so behold, the case docs:

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer.

With that out of the way, I want to highlight some interesting bits from the suit

First, Tore, who occasionally balks at being labeled as a Qanon influencer, is asking for $1.7 billion in damages.

Yes, that's $1.7 as in 17 as in Q, the 17th letter of the alphabet. Per her own Telegram, it's obviously not a coincidence.

Onto the facts:the gist is that her Kraken affidavit was accurate (according to her) and when Bowyer v Ducey said all the expert reports reach "implausible conclusions" and were derived from "wholly unreliable sources", that her affidavit should be exempt from that consideration

[tweet] [link]
She justifies this by saying that the court never called her in to testify, that they never reviewed her affidavit specifically, and never specifically named her affidavit as being unreliable or that her testimony was false.

[tweet] [link]
Now that they've established that, things get wild.

The crux of her case is that anyone who publishes "defamatory statements" against Sidney Powell, "the Kraken", or any of Powell's "election fraud accusations and/or conclusions", they're defaming Tore.

[tweet] [link]
I'm not a lawyer but that seems like a stretch, right? She's basically saying that criticizing Powell or the Kraken cases in any way defames her individually, even if they do not mention her name or her affidavit specifically.

[tweet] [link]
For example, she cites a letter from Dominion lawyers to Powell, and an article published on Dominion's website as instances where she was defamed, even though neither example mentions Tore or even uses the words "affidavit" or "witnesses"

Quick note: Don't tag @.questauthority because they're on vacation!

I think their accusations against Huffington Post are pretty funny. They include this excerpt, which itself mostly references a Washington Post article (WaPo is not a defendant fwiw).

Out of that excerpt, they only cite one sentence as potentially being defamatory...

[tweet] [link]
But I think it's interesting that they're not disputing anything in this excerpt, despite her regularly claiming to her followers that she did, in fact, work as an intelligence contractor - amongst other things

(The WaPo has more details on her claims)

[tweet] [link]
Anyways, the rest of the suit follows this same pattern. Include an example of someone talking about the Kraken suit - and not Tore or her affidavit directly - and claim that they're defaming her. Here's why Rep. Steve Cohen (TN) is included

[tweet] [link]
And here's why @mmfa is named. Again, the article in question doesn't mention Tore or the affidavit.

[tweet] [link]
She wraps up by saying that, because the defendants can't disprove her affidavit, they've libeled her and declared that she's guilty of perjury by portraying her affidavit as false, and asks for 1.7 billion in damages.

[tweet] [link]
I'm sure I got a bunch of legal nuance wrong, so I'm looking forward to being corrected by people who actually know what they're talking about.

Oh, parting thoughts: Tore and Byrne hyped up the relo to federal court yesterday as being a beneficial for the case, specifically because of a couple of orders the judge instated along with the move
