I'm going through some of the exhibits from the Coomer V Trump case today. I started with a few mentions of Ron Watkins, and will use this thread for anything else I find that's interesting.

Here's an absolutely wild email from OANN head Charles Herring where he seems to be entertaining an anonymous tip stating that Ashley Babbit is still alive and forwards it to Christina Bobb, Chanel Rion, Poso, etc. on 2/11/21.

[tweet] [link]
Here's an email sent on 11/9/20 from OANN's News Director instructing OANN staff not to refer to Biden as President-Elect.

Conversely, in another email dated 3/3/21, she instructs staff not to refer to Trump as the former president.

[tweet] [link]
And another one, this time instructing staff not to refer to 1/6 insurrectionists as rioters, and to not refer to the insurrection as a riot.

Meanwhile, in their BLM coverage..

It sure seems like Matt DePerno, the MI attorney for the plaintiff in the Antrim fraud case and current MI AG candidate, may have violated the protective order on the Antrim forensic images by providing them to Oltmann, who then shared them with Sidney Powell...

[tweet] [link]
In an email to OANN reporter Emerald Robinson, dated 1/6, Oltmann said that he was sitting with DePerno and was "publishing the Dominion audit raw data from Antrim County machines"

[tweet] [link]
On 1/22, Oltmann reached out to Powell and mentions Antrim (this is also the email where he said he had several Colorado county clerks "cooperating")

[tweet] [link]
Oltmann is told to contact other people on Powell's team, which he does that same day. He explicitly offers access to the Antrim forensic data (which again, was under a court order prohibiting it from being shared).

Powell's team was stoked.

[tweet] [link]
Oltmann then shares the access information (in 3 separate emails...for some reason? Is this security?), and Powell suggests that Wilson - who appears to be her son! - "handle the data"

[tweet] [link]
You may have noticed the domain that Oltmann supplied to Powell's team in the previous screenshots, http://bellrag.com. Domain's no longer up, but you can check it out on http://archive.org, and it definitely looks like it was hosting the Antrim forensic images

[tweet] [link]
While searching that domain I came across an interesting tweet: Robert Patrick Lewis, founder of the 1st Amendment Praetorians who have been providing security to Mike Flynn and associates, shared out the link on 1/6. In fact, his tweet's still up.

To recap DePerno's involvement with leaking the Antrim images:

On 1/6, Oltmann sent an email stating he was sitting with DePerno and "publishing....raw data from Antrim County machines"

On 1/6, Robert Lewis tweets out a link

A 1/7 archive shows that link hosted Antrim files

When asked how Gateway Pundit distinguishes between news and opinion pieces, TGP founder James Hoft responded with:

"I may need a clarification on this. As far as what do you mean by 'news'?"

...and I think that perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with Gateway Pundit

[tweet] [link]
After clarifying, Hoft answers that TGP is "News with opinion".

Asked whether TGP differentiates news vs opinion in articles that contain both, Hoft says they "leave that up to [their] readers"

That explains.....a lot.

[tweet] [link]
Hoft said TGP "would like to become a fact checking site"

...

ok.

[tweet] [link]
Given TGP's recent track record re: the AZ audit, this entire page is a doozy.

[tweet] [link]
Love that TGP's excuse for not reaching out to Coomer to confirm Oltmann's story was we "don't have the access to Eric Coomer". Reminder that they want to be an accredited fact checker

[tweet] [link]
Hoft's approach to journalism: talk to a single source, take his word for it, and then rely on reporting already done by someone else and hope it's accurate (but also don't reach out to them to verify that they did any research)

[tweet] [link]
Insane to me that so much "reporting" hinges on a call that Oltmann supposedly listened to...yet no transcript or recording exists, and Oltmann can't positively identify a single other soul that was on the supposed call.

People just took his word and ran with it.

[tweet] [link]
When asked what election experts TGP has consulted with, Hoft mentioned Jovan Pulitzer, Matt DePerno, and uh..his twin brother. That tracks.

[tweet] [link]
lmao

(paraphrased)

Lawyer (L): "Do you disagree with GA recount" Hoft (H): "Yes" (L): "Why?" (H): "I have a close source that says so" (L): "Is that source your brother?" (H): "Yes"

So many people knew about 8chan, but obviously hadn't bothered to actually type the damn URL into the address bar and check it out. They talk about it as if it's a bastion of free speech and not, y'know, a dumping ground for mass murder manifestos

[tweet] [link]
Reasonable people would laugh you out of the room if you thought 8ch/8kun gave Ron Watkins any sort of legitimacy, let alone cybersecurity credibility.

The fact that MULTIPLE PEOPLE thought they could trust Ron's bad election takes because he ran 8kun is fucking disappointing

[tweet] [link]
Hoft seemed to have advance notice that Tina Peters was going to show up at the Cyber Symposium. The deposition took place at 10:35AM on 8/10 - same day the Symposium began.

But Tina Peters didn't pop out of Lindell's plane until much later in the evening.

And yet...

[tweet] [link]
Calling it for tonight, maaaayy pick it back up tomorrow if I have time.

[tweet] [link]
I lied. There are some gems in the Oltmann deposition.

Like here, where Oltmann loses it when asked to explain his definition of an "antifa journalist" (his term) .

Instead he offers to discuss the judge's qualifications, to which his lawyer jumps in with "no, don't"
